At both the graduate and undergraduate levels, the Department of French Literature, Thought and Culture offers an extensive range of courses in French and Francophone language, literature, and civilization. We offer a wide range of undergraduate courses in all levels of French language, as well as in the literature, film, culture, and thought traditions of France and the Francophone world. The department offers approximately 8 graduate seminars each semester, with enrollments ranging from five to fifteen students. Thus, students are able to choose from the rich offerings of a large department, yet also enjoy the opportunity for close, personal interaction with professors.
