POSTDOCTORAL TRAVEL GRANT PROGRAM
To support the development of pathways to the professoriate, the Director for Faculty Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Development of the Faculty of Arts and Science (FAS) provides funds to Postdoctoral Fellows to help defray the cost of travel to professional conferences to present their research. The Postdoctoral Travel Grant Program provides awards of up to $700 each. The grant may be used for travel, lodging, and related expenses.
Eligibility
Applicants must be NYU Postdoctoral Associates, Postdoctoral Fellows, Postdoctoral Lecturers or Faculty Fellows and may be from any department of FAS.
Applicants must be presenting a paper/poster at a scholarly or professional conference. Attendance only cannot be funded. Presentations at invitational or other seminars at other institutions also cannot be funded.
Applicant salary may be from any source (e.g., NYU, NSF, Ford or other postdoctoral scholarships held by the postdoctoral applicant; NSF or other grant held by the postdoc’s PI). The applicant’s salary must be no more than $60,000 annually.
Travel grant funds may be used to reimburse expenses related to the applicant’s travel (including food and lodging) to the conference and/or travel of a caregiver to the conference for the purpose of providing care/interpretation for the postdoc or care for the postdoc’s dependent child.
