Diamond Holloman is a Ph.D. candidate in UNC-CH's Environment, Ecology, and Energy program. She is investigating ways that communities of color in Lumberton, North Carolina, experience and recover from natural disaster.
Suzanne Pierre is the Environmental Scientist and Senior Environmental Educator at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. She is also a visiting scholar in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. She received a BA in Environmental Studies from New York University in 2013 and a Ph.D. in ecosystems ecology and biogeochemistry from Cornell University in 2018. She was a UC President's Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley from 2018-2020. Sue's research focuses on the impacts of climatic change on the elemental relationships among plants, microbes, and the soils. She also explores and expresses herself through writing, where she critiques the past and present, and envisions a compassionate future at the intersection of Earth science, nature, freedom, and social justice. She is currently developing the Critical Ecology Lab, a non-profit academic and social justice environmental research group.

Gabrielle grew up in New York City where local NYC beaches and waterways inspired her love and stewardship for the ocean. She graduated with honors from New York University in May 2018 with a degree in Environmental Studies and Biology. She went on to receive the Moore Award for Marine Ecology and Conservation. She plans to work at the intersection between marine ecology, fishery science, and policy after obtaining a PhD in Marine Biology. She has held positions at the River Project, Taronga Conservation Society Australia, and Sarah Lawrence College Center for the Urban River at Beczak.

Currently Senior Creative Associate + Tour Guide at Museum Hack, he leads renegade tours of all things science and art at the American Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Using stories and interactive games, he creates unique museum experiences to engage and excite adult audiences. Zak gets excited about getting other people excited about the crazy, wonderful and wild world around us. Growing up exploring the woods and waterways of the east coast was just the beginning of a serious love affair with the natural world. Zak has a background in environmental and outdoor education and holds an honors degree in Environmental Studies from New York University.
