The creative writing track gives you a chance to unite literary analysis and the writing process, culminating in a creative writing project of your choosing. It is strongly encouraged that students pursuing the track also pursue the creative writing minor.

ENGL-UA 201 Reading as a Writer
Three of the Following Four (in any order):
ENGL-UA 111 Literatures in English I
ENGL-UA 112 Literatures in English II
ENGL-UA 113 Literatures in English III
ENGL-UA 114 Literatures in English IV
One course in Critical Theories and Methods OR British Literature before 1800
ENGL-UA 910 Creative Capstone Project (taken with ENGL-UA 911) - 2 Points
ENGL-UA 911 Creative Capstone Project Colloquium (taken with ENGL-UA 910) - 2 Points
One Senior Seminar
Two other English Electives
Two successive courses in Creative Writing Workshops (CRWRI-UA; Intro and Intermediate)
*If you are pursuing a creative writing minor, your CRWRI-UA courses completed for the minor will count toward the major requirements.
