Join this interactive community dialogue and work session that centers on co-creating a culture based in equity, cultural plurality, and shared leadership in the arts and beyond. Together, artists, invited guests, and audience members will explore how we can strive to decolonize and Indigenize the creative process, organizational leadership, and community relationships.
Facilitators include: Ty Defoe (Giizhig) (Interdisciplinary artist from the Oneida and Ojibwe Nations, artEquity Facilitator, and co-founder of Indigenous Direction), Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz(Associate Professor of English Education, Teachers College, Columbia University; Founder of The Racial Literacy Project and co-Founder of the Civic Participation Project at Teachers College), and Daniel Banks (co-founder of DNAWORKS, an arts and service organization committed to dialogue and healing through the arts).
