Anthony Dominguez is a PhD candidate in Cinema Studies at NYU Tisch. He holds an MA in Film Studies from The Graduate Center City University of New York, and a BA in English and Film from the University of Albany. His dissertation, "City, Space, and Screen" argues that in the thinking of Times Square as a heterotopia, rather than hold than hold them distinct, the neighborhood intersects public, private, and military space. By focusing on the construction of global cultural flows within Time Square, he formulate new understandings of how The Great White Way's identify as a commercial crossroads and consequently, "center of the world," came to be.
