Q: What is your educational and research background?
SC: I am a social art historian, and a visual culture studies scholar, whose scholarship focuses on Korean art/visual culture, with a secondary emphasis on Japanese and Chinese visual cultures. I am also experienced and trained in museum studies, and photography/video/media studies. Additional research background includes post-war global avant-garde networks, activist art, feminist art, and post-colonial studies.
Q: What is your current research focus or interest in the field of EAS?
SC: Korean avant-garde art, Korean queer and feminist art, and eco-criticism in Korean modern and contemporary art, and their global inter-connections

SC: Teaching and working with motivated students
