On Wednesday, April 28th at 6:20 PM EDT Todd Foley, East Asian Studies, and the Department of Comparative Literature will host the eight and final installment of Translation through Chinese Literature with Chloe Estep!
Chloe Estep is a Ph.D. candidate in modern Chinese literature at Columbia University. Her dissertation reveals the robust afterlife of classical poetry in twentieth century China by analyzing meta-discourses and media technologies that appropriate, translate, and remediate classical poetry for modern readers.
Estep will be discussing her translation of Lu Yao’s novel Life (AmazonCrossing, 2019).
