MFA Junction: A Joint Reading from the English and Spanish Language MFA Programs, with Brenda Peynado
Thursday, April 18, 7pm
Note Location: King Juan Carlos Center, 53 Washington Square South
With headliner Brenda Peynado, MFA Junction brings together NYU’s MFA in Creative Writing programs in English and Spanish for a joint student reading featuring pieces in any genre, in the language(s) chosen by the author. In the case of the texts not in English, a translation by a partner will also be read. The intention of these events is to create an instance where writers from different backgrounds can interact and share their creative projects, in the context of our graduate studies. The reading will be followed by a reception. This event is being organized by MFA Creative Writing students Matt Colburn (English), Nicolás Hip (Spanish), and Jimena Llamas (Spanish).
Open to the public. All attendees are required to RSVP in advance; please click here
