Chang-rae Lee is the author of six novels: Native Speaker (1995); A Gesture Life (1999); Aloft (2004); The Surrendered, which was a Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize; On Such a Full Sea (2014) which was a Finalist for the NBCC and won the Heartland Fiction Prize, and the most recent My Year Abroad (2021). His novels have won numerous awards and citations, including the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award, the American Book Award, the Barnes & Noble Discover Award, ALA Notable Book of the Year Award, the Anisfield-Wolf Literary Award, the Gustavus Myers Outstanding Book Award, and the NAIBA Book Award for Fiction. He has also written stories and articles for The New Yorker, The New York Times, Time (Asia), Granta, Conde Nast Traveler, Food & Wine, and many other publications.

Brandon Hobson is the author of the recently released novel, The Removed. His last novel, Where the Dead Sit Talking, was a finalist for the National Book Award, winner of the Reading the West Award, and longlisted for the International Dublin Literary Award. His fiction has won a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in McSweeney's, Conjunctions, NOON, American Short Fiction, and many other places. Hobson is currently an assistant professor in creative writing at New Mexico State University and also teaches in the low-res MFA program at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe. He is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation Tribe of Oklahoma.
Darin Strauss is the internationally bestselling author of the novels Chang and Eng, The Real McCoy, More Than it Hurts You, the NBCC-winning memoir, Half a Life, and the comic-book series, Olivia Twist. His new novel, The Queen of Tuesday—a mix of memoir and fiction that tells the story of Strauss' grandfather and Lucille Ball—is forthcoming from Random House (August, 2020). A recipient of a National Book Critics Circle Award, the Guggenheim Fellowship, an American Library Association Award, and numerous other prizes, Strauss has written screenplays for Disney, Gary Oldman, and Julie Taymor. His work has been translated into fourteen languages and published in nineteen countries, and he is a Clinical Professor at the NYU Creative Writing Program.
