Catherine Barnett is the author of Into Perfect Spheres Such Holes Are Pierced; The Game of Boxes, which was the recipient of the 2012 James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets; and the new collection Human Hours (Graywolf, September 2018). She teaches in the NYU Creative Writing Program.
Tracy K. Smith currently serves as U.S. Poet Laureate and is the author of four books of poetry: The Body’s Question, which won the Cave Canem Poetry Prize; Duende, winner of the James Laughlin Award and Essence Literary Award; Life on Mars, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry; and most recently Wade in the Water (Graywolf, April 2018). She is also the author of the memoir Ordinary Light, which was a finalist for the National Book Award in nonfiction.
