Gabriela Garcia is the recipient of a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer's Award and a Steinbeck Fellowship from San Jose State University. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in Best American Poetry, Tin House, Zyzzyva, Iowa Review, and elsewhere. She received an MFA in fiction from Purdue and lives in the Bay Area. Of Women and Salt is her first novel.
Wendy Xu is most recently the author of the poetry collection The Past, just published by Wesleyan in September 2021, and Phrasis (Fence), named one of the 10 Best Poetry Books of 2017 by The New York Times Book Review. Her work has appeared in The Best American Poetry, Granta, Tin House, Poetry, American Poetry Review, Conjunctions, and widely elsewhere. She lives in Brooklyn and is assistant professor of writing at The New School.
