Amy Hempel’s most recent short story collection, Sing to It, was published in 2019. She is also the author of The Dog of the Marriage, Tumble Home, At the Gates of the Animal Kingdom, Reasons to Live, and the coeditor of Unleashed. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship, the PEN/Malamud Award for Short Fiction, and the Rea Award for the Short Story.
Casey Legler is an artist, restaurateur, model, and former Olympic swimmer. Born in France to expatriate American parents, Casey grew up in Provence, and went on to swim for France in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. The first woman signed to Ford Models to exclusively model men's clothes, Casey has been featured in Vogue, Le Monde and Time. Her memoir Godspeed was published in 2018.
Hosted by NYU Creative Writing Program senior faculty member and National Book Critics Circle Award winner Darin Strauss. Books will be available for sale via Greenlight Bookstore, and there will be a signing on site following the event.
