Tatyana's research encompasses the intertextuality and intermediality of authorial/artistic style in Russian and Soviet contexts through studies in translation and adaptation. As an undergraduate, she researched Russian translations of English literature–investigating the afterlife of a Victorian novel in Imperial Russian, Soviet Russian, and Post-Soviet Russian contexts. As a Master's student, she concentrated on the development of authorial/artistic legacies as a historical meta-narrative by examining two 19th century Russian texts alongside their respective Soviet film adaptations and later derivative works.
