On Saturday, February 20th at 9:30 AM EST Todd Foley, East Asian Studies, and Comparative Literature will host the first installment of Translation through Chinese Literature with Xiaolu Guo!
Xiaolu Guo was born in south China and moved to London in 2002. Her novels have been shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction and the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize, and long-listed for the Man Asian Literary Prize. Her memoir, Nine Continents, was awarded the National Book Critics Award in Autobiography. Her critically acclaimed films include She, a Chinese and several documentaries.
Guo will be discussing her most recent work of fiction, A Lover’s Discourse (Grove, 2020).
