On Wednesday, March 17th at 6:20 PM EST Todd Foley, East Asian Studies, and the Department of Comparative Literature will host the fourth installment of Translation through Chinese Literature with Michelle Deeter.
Michelle Deeter is a freelance translator and part-time lecturer at Newcastle University (UK). She has been translating and interpreting since 2007, handling everything from pesticide patents to frozen food packaging. Her literary translations include Beijing, Beijing by Feng Tang and The Heart of Deep Blue by TJ Lei.
Deeter will be discussing her translation of The Untouched Crime by Zijin Chen (AmazonCrossing, 2016).
