Students are admitted to NYU by the university, not the major department. All general inquires should be directed to our centralized admissions team.
Once students have been accepted to NYU and have sucessfully passed Introduction to Neural Science (NEURL-UA 100) with a B- or higher, and all other courses towards the major with a C or higher, they are eligible to officially declare the neural science major here:
Declaration of Neural Science Major
Only advisors in the Center for Neural Science can declare a student a Neural Science Major. Advisors at the College Advising office, and DUSs in other departments cannot declare a student a Neural Science major.
Students who are not yet eligible to declare the major but are interested in position annoucements, events etc. may request to be placed on our email listserv here:
All majors will automatically be placed on the email listserv.
