Dr. Alisha "Jonesy" Jones joins the NYU research faculty in January 2023 as Assistant Professor of Chemical Biology. Jonesy earned her doctoral degree at the University of Washington under the direction of Prof. Gabriele Varani and conducted her postdoctoral research at Helmholtz Zentrum Muenchen in the lab of Prof. Michael Sattler. Research in the Jones Lab at NYU will focus on investigating the structural dynamics of long noncoding RNAs and how they are linked to specific biological processes.
