The NYU Department of Chemistry presents a symposium honoring the life and work of Martin Pope, organized by Associate Professor of Chemistry Stephanie Lee. Pope, a faculty member from 1956 - 1988 who passed away in 2022 at the age of 103, was a giant in the field of organic electronics. A recipient of the Royal Society's Davy Medal, he made seminal discoveries that paved the way for the invention of OLEDs. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
