NYU Chemistry alumnus James R. Lupski (pictured left) is the recipient of the 2014 EMGS Award, conferred by the Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society. Dr. Lupski was recognized for his seminal contributions to a number of different research areas, from basic DNA chemistry and mutation through the emergence of early DNA sequencing, to studies of genomic instability and rearrangements and on to the current state of whole genome and exome sequence analysis, disease-related mutations, and copy number variants (CNVs) |
