Katari and Jain publish in Scientific Reports: TCF7L1 Modulates Colorectal Cancer Growth

In collaboration with Dr. Sujash Chatterjee and Dr. Matt Murphy from Dr. Dasgupta’s group at NYU Medical Center, Sidharth Jain and Dr. Manpreet Katari identified genes that were differentially expressed between knockout TCF7L1 and wildtype cells. Knockout of TCF7L1 in colorectal cancer cells leads to suppression of tumor formation.  The results identified a suite of genes activated in the absence of TCF7L1 that serve as cancer suppressors.  Read the full text here.
