Patrick Eichenberger has co-edited a new book with Adam Driks exploring current topics in spore biology and research, The Bacterial Spore, published by The American Society for Microbiology Press.
Chapters cover themes as varied as biodefense and microbial forensics; the book is designed as a reference for geneticists, advanced students, and lay readers in fields such as food safety and national security. Reviewer Kumaran Ramamurthi of the NIH declared it "an ambitious effort [...] that is accessible to both the novice and expert microbiologist."
