The post-doctoral fellow Gustavo M. Silva received a NIH K99/R00 “Pathway to Independence Award” to study the roles of protein ubiquitination in response to environmental stress.
The initial phase (K99) will be developed under the mentorship of Christine Vogel (NYU-CGSB) and Dan Finley (Harvard), followed by 3 years (R00) of independent support.
This project is based on their latest article describing the role of K63 ubiquitin in translation regulation published in Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, which can be accessed here.
The project description is accessible on the NIEHS website.
