Dr. Edo Kussell, assistant professor at the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology, was awarded a prestigious research award from the McDonnell Foundation as part of its 21st Century Science Initiative. The 4-year grant to study complex systems will be used by Kussell to study how age distributions of microorganisms can be used to examine population dynamics.
