Part 1: Design Fundamentals
Science communication increasingly relies on visuals, from seminar slides and graphical abstracts to public talks and social media. In order to be effective, these must not only be nice to look at but intuitive as well. As such, a working knowledge is needed of both the tools for making visuals and the most effective means of clearly conveying information. This one week bootcamp will tackle these issues, with an emphasis on Adobe Illustrator.
Part 1 is a lecture/discussion covering fundamentals such as hierarchies of information, principles of good design, and designing for accessibility.
