Visualizing Science Workshop: Part 2/3

Science communication increasingly relies on visuals, from seminar slides and graphical abstracts to public talks and social media. In order to be effective, these must not only be nice to look at but intuitive for their intended audience as well. As such, a working knowledge is needed of both the tools for making visuals and the most effective means of clearly conveying information. This workshop will tackle these issues, with an emphasis on Adobe Illustrator. 

Part I (Tuesday, 3/10) will cover fundamentals such as hierarchies of information, principles of good design, and designing for accessibility.

Part II (Thursday, 3/12) will delve into the nuts and bolts of Illustrator, offering a comprehensive basic training.

Part III (Friday, 3/13) will touch on intermediate-to-advanced functions in Illustrator, along with interactive exercises and discussions.
