The 2017 Python course was my first programming course. Now I am among the few biologists in my PhD program who can benefit from bioinformatics thinking and conduct research independently. The extra office hours helped me learn basic programming and gave me enthusiasm for bioinformatics research.Rong, now a PhD student in Bioinformatics at Baylor

The interdisciplinary program provided a well-defined training in bioinformatics and computational biology, even with no prior knowledge in the field. The class assignments and projects connected the dots between biology and computation, a key factor in becoming a successful bioinformatician.Awni, initially a Bioinformatics Specialist at Rockefeller University and now Senior Bioinformatics Engineer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
