Dental variation in African apes with implications for understanding patterns of variation in species of fossil apes

Varsha Pilbrow
My research focuses on the interface between evolutionary diversification and morphological change. I study the population systematics of the present-day apes from dental morphology and use these as models to assess the taxonomy of fossil apes. I also study the evidence for gene flow and genetic admixture from skeletal morphology.
