Rene Gerrets
Rene Gerrets currently holds a postdoc at the University of Amsterdam. His postdoctoral research focuses on malaria, expertise, governance and global health. One project, conducted jointly with anthropologists and historians from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University of Paris, examines how biomedical institutions dating back to the colonial era generate memory in African settings. The other project, conducted in collaboration with a network of anthropologists and legal scholars based at New York University School of Law, examines the role indicators for malaria in global health governance.
