My ongoing research agenda ethnographically investigates contemporary North American Jewish identities and languages in urban centers. My scholarship engages key issues at the intersection of the religion, Jewish Studies, gender and linguistic anthropology (including language and media). My most recent book project, Double Life: Faith, Doubt and the Internet among Hasidic Jews, is being funded by a Senior NSF Grant.
