Elementary Cantonese I

One semester of Cantonese can count as SCA faculty elective for the Asian/Pacific/American or SCA majors/minors. This course will have asynchronous instruction on Mondays. An introduction to Cantonese with an emphasis on the spoken and written language and conversational proficiency as a primary goal. Emphasizes grammar, listening comprehension, and oral expressions. Designed to give beginning students a practical command of the language. Students with passable conversational ability or native speakers from Cantonese-speaking communities should not enroll in this course.
