1. How do I apply?
The graduate admissions process (M.A., and Certificate) is handled by the GSAS Office of Graduate Enrollment Services. They should be your primary point of contact for all admissions-related issues, including departmental admissions requirements, the admissions process, and deadlines.

2. Do you accept students in both fall and spring?
Yes, we do and the deadlines for those admissions cycles are as follows:
February 15: Fall, recommended date
April 1: Fall, final deadline date
November 1: Spring
Spring applications will be considered if space remains available. Please contact the program in September before applying for spring.
All application materials must be received by 5 p.m. eastern time on the deadline date. If an application deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday or legal U.S. holiday, then the next business day will be the deadline date.
3. Is taking the GRE required as a part of the application?
The GRE is recommended but is not required. Please see more instructions about this on the Programs, Requirements and Deadlines page:
4. Does the program require applicants to have take museum related courses during their undergraduate studies in order to qualify for applying to the M.A. program?
There are no prerequisite undergraduate courses or fields of study required of applicants to our program who have or are in the process of completing their B.A. degree. Students in the program have had various majors, undergraduate and post-graduate degrees.
5. Can I contact any current students or alumni?

7. What are the tuition and fees?
Tuition and fees are subject to change each academic year but the current amounts are located on the bursar’s page.
8. Is Financial Aid Available?
The Program in Museum Studies is committed to increasing diversity within the museum profession, and we seek to admit to our program students from diverse backgrounds. 9. Can I study part time?
Yes, but there is a 5-year time limit for completion of the M.A. degree and a 3-year time limit for completion of the Advanced Certificate.
