Inclusive communities build excellence in scholarship. Equity and inclusion require attention to building community within our committees, classrooms, departments and university. Below are resources and ideas to achieve these goals.
Community Building Seed Grants. Small seed grants (usually in the $500-2000) are available to support pilot programs. Programs should aim to be self-sustainable in the future, have departmental investment and support expansion of equitable practice, capacity and belonging. These could include expert engagement for workshops to expand skills (e.g., classroom, mentoring or other skills), to extend disciplinary topical engagements, or other community development.
