Troubleshooting
There are a lot of "Title" fields on the page, which is which?
In general speaking, the Title field is the main title of the page. Navigation Title, Page Title, and Subtitle fields are all reserved for the frontend display purpose.
The page's title is too long for the navigation, what can I do?
If the Title of the page is too long to display for the main nav, you can set up a shorter title in the Navigation Title field. Simply fill out the shorter title in the Navigation Title field and system will display that instead of the Title. If you want to revert it back to the original Title field, simply remove the text in the Navigation Title field.
How do I remove the title above the department name?
The title above the department name is the Page Title. You can remove the Page Title by following these steps:
- While in AEM Author mode, navigate to the folder that contains the page.
- Make sure you're in Card View.
- Hover on top of the page and then click on the View Properties icon (white circle with an "i").
- Once you're in the Properties screen, stay on the Basic tab, and then click on Edit at the upper left corner. You can then clear the Page Title field. Click on the Done button at the upper right corner to save your edit.
- After you finish the edit, publish the page.
