Update Video content

Note: Currently, only Youtube and Vimeo are supported. We're looking into support other video hosting services in the future. Also, while you can definitely upload the video to the DAM and then embed it on the page, please consider the following benefits when hosting the video on the dedicated online video hosting services such as Youtube and Vimeo:

  • Online video hosting services are designed specifically to stream videos efficiently, they have better capabilities to serve multiple viewers at the same time compared to a CMS.
  • You have more controls (Video control, privacy, comment, etc.) on the video.
  • It is easier to share the video on social media with video thumbnail, description, and ready-to-play function on the social media page.
  1. Navigate to the location of the page contains the video, and then edit it. (Fig. 1)

  2. Depends on the component that was used to contain the video, you should follow the steps below to configure/update the video's information.

    • If the Video Block component is being used to display the video: (Fig. 2)
      1. Click on the component and then click on Configure icon (wrench) to open the Configure panel.
      2. Adjust any necessary fields.
      3. To replace the video, make sure you copy and paste the video embed path from Vimeo or Youtube to the Video Source URL field. To obtain the video embed path, please follow these steps.
        Note: Make sure the video is shareable. The component is not able to display video that is NOT shareable.
      4. Click Done icon (checkmark) to save your progress.

    • If the Gallery component is being used to display the video: (Fig. 3)
      1. Click on the component and then click on Configure icon (wrench) to open the Configure panel.
      2. Adjust video information in the Gallery Items tab.
      3. To change the video, copy and paste the Vimeo video .mp4 path to the Link URL to the presentation field.
        Note: The link should be Vimeo (e.g. https://player.vimeo.com/external/1234567890.hd.mp4?s=26028c4d09d66e83511109146c9ef720026cde30&profile_id=000). Click here to learn more how to obtain .mp4 link from Vimeo.
      4. Click Done icon (checkmark) to save your progress. 

  3. Publish the page.
