Teacher Fellowship Program: Using Media to Teach about Migration and Human Rights
The Teacher Fellowship Program promotes the development of curriculum focused on themes of migration and human rights in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Program is offered in conjunction with the “Indocumentales” film and conversation series, run collaboratively by CLACS, Cinema Tropical and What Moves You. Fellowships are offered to teachers wishing to research and to develop new curriculum on these themes. The Program involves attendance at the Indocumentales film screenings and participating in several professional development workshops on using media in the classroom. It culminates in each teacher’s presentation of a capstone curricular project, which is also made available as an online resource.
