Via the development of new methods in spectroscopic techniques such as NMR spectroscopy and 2D electronic spectroscopy, and the study of complex systems such as electrochemical devices, nano- and microstructured materials, research in experimental physical chemistry and chemical physics at NYU aims to solve longstanding fundamental scientific problems as well as pave the way for new applications across disciplines, ranging from biophysics to materials structure elucidation, and photovoltaics.
