CASSR fosters an intellectual community focused on issues pertaining to inequality, population, and computational social sciences. Faculty, Staff, and Students collaborate in research and programmatic work that educates both experts and the wider public on the most pressing social issues of our times including crime, health, race, gender, opportunity, and representation.
Research projects at CASSR are funded by a variety of sources including NYU, federal, and private foundations. Committed to collaboration, CASSR co-sponsors many events and programs with other campus centers and institutes such as the NYU Population Center and the Institute of Human Development and Social Change (IHDSC).
