Stephanie J. Stiefel is a Managing Director, Head of Client Development – The Straus Group, within the Private Asset Management division at Neuberger Berman, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lehman Brothers. She joined the firm in 1990 and formerly served as head of Private Asset Management Advisory Services, which provides high net worth individuals and families and small to medium-sized institutions with discretionary investment management and trust services. In 2007, she assumed the role of Head of Client Development for the Straus Group, a $25 billion high net worth and institutional portfolio management group. Ms. Stiefel honed her investment expertise as a personal financial planner and Senior Tax Manager with Arthur Andersen & Co. where she spent ten years in public accounting specializing in tax consultation, financial planning and family wealth issues. She received her B.A. from Queens College and is a Certified Public Accountant. Stephanie established a Charitable Remainder Trust in memory of her late husband at Lehigh University. She is an active supporter of Jewish philanthropies and serves on several boards of directors including the Jewish Communal Fund and Central Synagogue. She serves as the Head of the Investment Committee and as a Trustee of the Board at Queens College. She is also a member of the New York State Society of CPA’s.
