Mott insulators out-of-equilibrium
Understanding and controlling the real-time dynamics of strongly correlated electron systems driven out of equilibrium is a formidable experimental and theoretical challenge. In this talk I will present some recent theoretical progress on the pump-probe dynamics of single and multi-orbital Hubbard models using non- equilibrium real-time dynamical mean-field theory. In particular, the doublon dynamics of the transition-metal dichalcogenide 1T-TaS2 observed in time-resolved pump-probe photo emission spectroscopy , the anti-screening effects driven by non-local interactions , cooling from local spin dynamics [3,4], and symmetry breaking enhancement and control [5,6], will be discussed.
