Effective Operators and Strongly Interacting Massive Particles
I discuss two subjects. One is a new formalism to classify effective operators in quantum field theory such as the Standard Model. It has checkered history that took more than quarter of a century for dimension-six operators. It turned out that conformal field theory is useful for this purpose. We also extended the formalism to chiral Lagrangian using Hodge theory. The second is a theory of dark matter based on QCD-like dynamics. It allows for self interaction that may solve the core-cusp problem. There is a prospect for “dark spectroscopy” at low-energy e+e- colliders.
