The Graduate Program has particular strengths in the areas of epistemology, history of philosophy, logic, metaphysics, moral and political philosophy, philosophy of language, philosophy of logic and mathematics, and philosophy of mind. Additionally, the Program offers a track for PhD students who wish to specialize in Ancient Philosophy. Many of the department offerings are of wide significance and helpful in developing the capacity to assess arguments and analyze ideas. Our small classes give ample opportunity for discussion and allow close consultation on writing.
