RE: Summer 2008 Budget Allocation and Appointment Process

Thank you for submitting your summer 2008 offerings to the registrar in October. We are reviewing your offerings as they appear in ASIS and we are contacting departments with any questions that come up.
Two important points on Summer 2008 (which are designed to make this process quick and painless for all and to eliminate the endless spreadsheets of last summer):
1. FAME FOR SUMMER BUDGETS: DEADLINE DEC 14, 2007
We are going to try administering summer budgets in FAME this year. One department administrator in each department will be given viewing access to that departments Q in the summer org 10 95006.
In order to receive viewing access to your summer budget, with a unique Q program code under the 10 95006 account, please send me an email by DECEMBER 14th, 2007 with the following information:
NAME OF YOUR DEPARMENT
NAME AND NET ID OF THE ADMINISTRATOR
It should be the Director of Administration or the Department Administrator, in most cases who will have viewing access to this screen in FAME.
For those of you with study abroad programs, this access will include both that Q and the Q for the dept for summer on campus.
2. ASIS WILL BE USED FOR SUMMER: DEADLINE JAN 31, 2008
We are using ASIS this summer for all on campus and abroad courses, so as soon as you know the instructor per course, please enter their names and the pay rate you intend to pay them into ASIS.
Please read the attached guidelines re: summer appointments, which explains how to determine summer pay rates. If you have questions calculating summer pay rates, please call either your fiscal representative or me at 992 9791.
Please enter this information before January 31, 2008, if possible. You will receive a reminder about this after the winter break. Please also remember to notify me of any changes you make to ASIS regarding summer appointments and that paperwork is required for all summer appointments (please see guidelines for details).
3. SUMMER APPOINMENTS: DEADLNE MAR 3, 2008
The deadline this year will be MARCH 1, 2008 for all paperwork for summer appointments. Paperwork must to submitted to PAYROLL by that date. I know that this is earlier than last year, so please call me if you have any concerns.
