Faculty Search Committees
Updated November 18th, 2011
Introduction
A search committee is formed for each faculty recruitment effort undertaken by a department or program. Committees are typically comprised of full time department tenure and tenure track faculty, although in the case of small departments, or interdisciplinary hires, faculty from other units may be included. Departments may also choose to invite a student representative to participate in the review process.
