The Liberal Studies Program has been awarded a $50,000 Digital Humanities Level II Start-up award from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The grant will assist in development of "Simonides", a digital humanities learning tool that will be used by Liberal Studies students to create electronic portfolios that demonstrate their knowledge and skills. Assistant Dean Robert Squillace is project director and Coordinator of Instructional Technology Lucile Appert is project advisor; faculty participating are Master Teachers Jessamyn Hatcher, Beatrice Hernandez, Martin Reichert, Leah Schwartz, and Phillip Washburn.
