Loretta B. Glucksman
Loretta Brennan Glucksman is Chairman of the American Ireland Fund, the largest philanthropic organization to raise funds to support programs of peace, culture, education and community development in Ireland. After a decade-long career as an English teacher, Mrs. Brennan Glucksman was a producer of news and public affairs for PBS-TV where she won several journalistic and civic awards during her career. Mrs. Brennan Glucksman was awarded Honorary Fellowships of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the Royal Hibernian Academy of Art and the Royal Irish Academy of Arts and Sciences. She is a board member of the Industrial Development Authority of Ireland, the National Gallery of Ireland and the Glucksman Gallery, University College Cork. Mrs. Brennan Glucksman has been conferred honorary doctorates from Trinity College, Dublin, University College Cork, University of Aberdeen, Fairfield University and the University of Scranton.
At NYU, she is a member of the Sir Harold Acton Society and serves as Chairman of the Glucksman Ireland House, the center for Irish studies at NYU that was endowed by her husband, Lewis.
