Standard PC Workstation - $744
This workstation is intended for the PC user.
- Dell Optiplex 745 MiniTower with Core 2 Duo E6300 Processor 1.86GHz, 2M Cache, Integrated Gigabit NIC, Video and Sound.
- 2GB RAM, 80GB SATA Hard Drive, No Floppy Drive, 16X DVD+/-RW with Roxio Creator.
- 17" Flat Panel Monitor 1708FP, Internal Speaker.
- Windows XP Professional SP2 with NTFS.
- 4 year warranty
- Microsoft Office 2003/2007 Professional installed separately by FAS/CIT support providers, as appropriate under license agreement.
An upgrade to a laptop is available if department or research funds are used to pay for the difference. The standard laptop configuration is given below:
PC Laptop - $984
This workstation is intended for typical laptop users who need to have access via the internet at work and via modem at home.
- Dell Latitude D620 with Core 2 Duo T5600 Processor 1.83GHz.
- 2GB RAM, 60GB Hard Drive, 24X CD-RW/DVD-ROM, floppy drive.
- Internal 56KB Modem, Integrated Network Card, and Wireless 802.11g card.
- 14.1" Widescreen WXGA Display.
- Windows XP Professional SP2 with NTFS .
- Microsoft Office 2003/2007 Professional installed separately by FAS/CIT support providers, as appropriate under license agreement.
Standard Apple Workstation - New (Metallic) iMac - $1,268
This workstation is intended for the Macintosh user.

- 1GB RAM, 250GB Hard Drive, Superdrive DVD+/-RW/CD-RW,ATI Radeon 2400XT 128MB video card.

New faculty and staff machines are provided with a HP Laserjet 1022 printer standard as shown below. An upgrade to the printer is available if department or research funds are used to pay for the difference. The standard printer configuration is given below:
