The general aim of this project is to move beyond the debates that have dominated recent discussions in political philosophy, and to provide a forum for exploring new issues and avenues of investigation that seem potentially fruitful but have received less attention. The project will comprise a series of day-long meetings, each with a morning and afternoon session and each organized around a particular theme. The first two meetings, which were held in 2010-2011, were devoted to the topics of Skepticism about Normative Political Theory and Islam and Political Philosophy. In 2011-2012 there were meetings on Philosophy and International Law and Property-Owning Democracy. In 2012-2013 there are meetings scheduled on Political Philosophy and Climate Change and Political Philosophy and Economics.
