The Medieval and Renaissance Graduate Information Network (MARGIN)
MARGIN proposes monthly workshops on different topics from the medieval and early modern period. The workshops are intended to be open discussion forums centered on interdisciplinary, methodological topics accessible to a broad audience. Graduate students from NYU and other universities are welcome to present their own work and to participate in discussions. The goal is to lend new insights into other graduate students' work and gain new insights for our own work. MARGIN workshops afford PhD candidates the opportunity to exchange ideas in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
Each workshop will be ideally led by two people, generally representing two different disciplines. While presenting material, presenters serve at the same time as moderators for prompting discussion.
