Seed grants to Sam Bowman

Sam Bowman recently received the NYU-internal University Research Challenge Fund seed grant for a project titled "Unsupervised Sentence Representation Learning." The project covers methods for learning general-purpose vector representations for the meanings of sentences (rather than of words, as in the widely-used "word embeddings" family of techniques).

Sam is also a collaborator on a project led by Damon McCoy that won a NYU Global Seed Grant for Collaborative Research (funded by the Moore-Sloan Data Science Environment) for a project titled "Semi-supervised NLP Techniques for Automated Cybercrime Forum Analysis."
